At Summit, learning is an exciting adventure.  Our mission to educate the whole child cappitalizes on the learning experience and recognizes the importance of character and community in a child’s development.  Located in the beautiful mountains of Cashiers, North Carolina, Summit offers a quality and unique K-8 educational program that connects students to the many wonderful environmental and community resources that surround the school.

Imagine studying geology while hiking the Chattooga River, or forces and motion while scaling Looking Glass Mountain, or American History and heritage through the cultural voices of the Cherokee Indians.  Learning takes on tremendous value when experienced first hand through local field studies and placed-based excursions.
