MARCH 14, 2020 - Statement from Summit Charter School in regards to COVID-19

Dear Summit Families,

This afternoon Governor Roy Cooper announced the closure of all North Carolina public schools for at least the next two weeks, March 16 - 30.

With this announcement, Summit’s closure announced on Friday will now extend through March 30. We will proceed with our next steps for remote learning that I shared yesterday. Our teachers will provide students and families instructions for the remote learning plan specific to their classroom by Monday afternoon, and any resources or materials that may need to be picked up at the school will be available on Tuesday between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Our faculty and staff will remain available for students and families by e-mail, or through other means as determined by individual teachers, between the hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and support through this time. Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can be of support for your family. Sincerely,

Kurt Pusch

Head of School
