The Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation has created a wonderful summary of factual information and national, regional, and local resources.
Board Member Robin Tanner has created a document on local Meal Assistance Programs
Parent Jerry Blackburn with Northland Communications is establishing area hotspots for free internet service to the community. This will allow families/students to log onto the internet and download/upload content for work/school. Yesterday Northland established the first of more to come. It is located at the Cashiers Farmers Market and is “Northland Cable-Free Internet,” (no password). Located on the right side of the building, students and parents can pull up and log in from their vehicles or around the picnic tables outside.
The Blue Ridge Free Dental Clinic is still serving dental emergencies and they are working on a remote hygiene program for local students.
